Recipe for Spaghetti with Meatballs

This is a recipe from my kindergarten cookbook that I made with my grandfather who has been making Italian food for me my whole life

  1. Ingredients
  2. 1 lb lean beef, 1 lb pork, ground together
  3. 1 cup day-old Italian bread, crusts--discarded and shredded
  4. 1/4 cup minced parsley
  5. 2 eggs, raw
  6. 3/4 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  7. 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
  8. 1/2 small onion, chopped fine
  9. 2 cups tomato sauce (more if wanted)
  10. 1/4 cup olive oil
  11. Salt
  12. Milk
  1. Directions
  2. Soak bread in milk 20 minutes, then squeeze to drain it well
  3. Heat tomato sauce
  4. Mix the meat and combine it with the bread, eggs, cheese, parsley, garlic, and onion
  5. Take a palm full of mixture and roll into a round shape
  6. Heat a frying pan and add olive oil
  7. Fry the meatballs in olive oil. Turn them so they brown all around
  8. When they're done, put in tomato sauce and heat through
